- Browse your assigned adverts with brief details, dimensions, and deadlines
- Download client-supplied artwork and assets directly into your project
- Upload completed proofs (PDF + PNG preview) to Xpressly in one click
- Automatic status update to "Proof Ready" on upload
- Sales rep notified instantly when a new proof is available
- View advert comments and instructions from the sales team
For editorial page production
Pagination designers browse edition pages, select which articles to place, and the plugin creates properly styled text frames with images on the pasteboard.
- Browse edition pages and see which articles are assigned
- Place article content — headline, lead, body, byline, images — onto the pasteboard
- Automatic paragraph style mapping to your existing InDesign template styles
- Print-optimised image downloads (TIFF format with ICC profiles)
- Images saved to Links folder next to your .indd file (standard practice)
- Page status automatically updates to "On Proof" after placement
- Place individual articles or all articles on a page at once

Under the hood
Style Mapping
The plugin automatically discovers your existing InDesign paragraph and character styles. It looks for common style names (Headline, Body, Lead, Byline, Caption) and maps article content to them. If a style isn't found, it falls back to Basic Paragraph — your templates always work.
Pasteboard Placement
All content is placed on the pasteboard to the right of your page, giving you full control over layout. Drag frames onto the page and arrange them as you see fit — Xpressly provides the content, you control the design.
Print-Ready Images
Images are automatically requested as print-ready TIFF variants with ICC profiles applied. If a print variant isn't available, the plugin falls back to high-quality JPEG. All images are saved to a Links folder that travels with your document.
HTML Content Parsing
Article body text is parsed from TipTap HTML into InDesign-native text with proper paragraph and character styles applied. Bold, italic, headings, blockquotes, and lists are all handled automatically.
